I don't know what they can do really, it's a sorry state of affairs. I think the Department of Trade and Industry are trying to get some of the customers' money back.

If you give a company money before receiving the goods or services, always always check that they have insurance in the case of insolvency.

And for those who don't know, Farepak was a Christmas Hamper company, who operated a savings scheme which would pay out at Christmas - only the company went bankrupt and thousands of people lost a lot of money.
