i was told that the more sickness you have the risk factor goes down which i think is rubbish.
i had a miscarriage a few yrs back and was sicker than Ive ever been however Ive had friends who have had babies but not 1 day of sickness and they carried to term and had healthy babies.
please wipe this thought from your head hunni you are going to worry enough without this.

I didn't feel sick at all before I had my miscarriage, but then with this pregnancy I haven't really been sick either. I have never thrown up, or had morning sickness, but I do have the tiredness problem big time. Before my miscarriage I had period like cramps everyday. They were really bad. This time around I did not have that problem. That was my experience. When this pregnancy started I was super paranoid that I was going to have a miscarriage, because the previous one was. Please don't spend your time worrying, because most likely everything is fine, and you should enjoy every moment of pregnancy. Good Luck!

It is an old wive's tale that if you have morning sickness your chances of miscarriage go down. More than half of women have morning sickness during pregnancy and the other half don't. One group is not more likely to miscarry vs. the other.
Caffeine intake, however, has been associated with miscarriage, so best to avoid all caffeine (iced tea, cola, soda, coffee, tea, etc) to increase your chances of having a healthy baby. And by eating healthy and doing the right things, such as taking a prenatal vitamin, you are doing everything you can to have healthy pregnancy.
Plus, I have read that if you have a normal ultrasound at 8 weeks, with a detected fetal heart rate above 125 bpm, your chances of m/c go way, way down.
Good luck!

I'm in my second pregnancy now and no doctor has ever told me that. It's normal to be tired a lot during pregnancy's but it has nothing to do with miscarriages. They say the first trimester is the time to be worried about miscarriage but being sick (morning sickness) has nothing to do with it. Take care of yourself...eat healthy, drink lots of fluids (water) calm down on the exercise for right now, though exercise is always important take the first trimester to relax. Everything should go fine.

I don't know about the chances of miscarriage being low, but my doctor always told me that morning sickness is a good sign because you know you still have the baby, and if it stops suddenly before 12 weeks then you should worry and call. I had a previous miscarriage and this was his why of telling me the morning sickness was a good thing and it did make me feel better.

I had morning sickness that lasted throughout the day and ended up having a miscarriage! A miscarriage isn't based on morning sickness!! It's based on the chromosomes not coming together!!! You should be fine, but if you start to have problems, report to your doctor! Congratulations and Good Luck

Don't stress yourself out over this. Just take care of yourself, take your prenatal vitamins and folic acid (eat something when you do this as taking them on an empty stomach can make you feel nauseatious) and eat right. I have heard though that the more morning sickness you have, the higher chances for a girl. I was sicker than a dog (lost 16lbs. in my first trimester) and delivered a baby girl!

I dont agree with that, I have been prego twice once with a boy and once with twin girls and I NEVER got sick once... Being sick and being tired are two different things... Take it easy and get alot of rest, the feeling will go away eventually

They say that because the hormones that cause the nausea and vomitting and usually a good indicator that the pregnancy is viable however many women deliver healthy full term babies without those symptoms. Good luck.

No it's not the same thing. However that theory is not correct anyway. You can be sick either way or you can miscarry and feel like everything is okay. You never know how your body will react.
