It shouldn't matter if people know they are fakes, should it? Why bankrupt yourself just to impress? I would never judge anyone on whether they owned fake goods. Designer labels don't interest me. They must be shallow if they judge you on whether you have real designer wear or not. If you enjoy them, then that's the main thing. Have confidence in yourself to wear and buy what YOU want. Don't look for affirmation from people that judge you on labels. It's so superficial and is a mark of their insecurity. However, I should add that the money that fake goods accrue is sometimes used to fund terrorism. When I heard this, I rejected a friends offer to bring me some fake goods back from New York. If this aspect worries you, research it further. On the other hand, don't get yourself into debt just because you are worried about others opinions. Be confident to be original with your style, not a sheep!

I think anyone who buys into those high label and trend brands are wasting money. I would sooner burn my money than buy a $400+ purse.
If you had a fake, I wouldn't notice or care. A purse is a purse. I prefer practicality over trend anyway. But I'm sure people would look down on you for buying a fake and laugh behind your back. Honestly, don't worry about it, just do what makes you happy.

These real items are obviously very expensive. I think most people will not know or care unless you are in the presence of the designers. Most of us will only appreciate your efforts to look as good as you can. Unless your friends attend runway shows for the designers you have copies of they won't even know. If they ask you where you got them, tell the truth. Don't lie about it. If you do then you have gone too far. If they ask, which I doubt they will, just joke it off, but do not lie. It is too easy to find the truth if they want to.

If the bag was "in the style of" or "inspired by", I would just think the person liked the style of particular designer bags. If it was an illegal knockoff designed to appear identical to the original bag, I would consider that completely wrong and certainly wouldn't respect a person for that.

Well honey just dont tell anyone and you wont have to worry, i have a real and a few fake and when i carry the fakes and dont want anyone to know i am just careful when i open it. Most people truly could care less, I just sometomes feel the need to not be outdone by some snotty little rich brat. Honestly, IF someone really cares, so what. Fakes are not a horrible thing.

Why even go for a fake? If you can't afford a real designer bag you can find nice bags that aren't as expensive & are not blatantly copying other designers. Furthermore, who cares what they think?!?
Here's a designer with more affordable purses...

some of the knock offs are obvious fakes to those who know/own the real ones. Who cares what anyone else thinks. I'm not going to lie - I only buy real ones I can afford or an off-brand because the knock offs I find are often cheaply made and not worth it...

if somebody really knows what they are looking for then obviously they can tell the difference. However, the average person normally will not know the difference (unless the name is spelled wrong or the design is upside down, which i have seen on a few Burberry and Louis knockoffs)

You should have the confidence to wear what you can afford and be proud irrespective of your finances. You friends like you for what you are and not for what labels your wear, and if they think otherwise...Most people can't tell the difference - I've seen Rolex watches from Shanghai that dealers have difficulty telling apart. A friend of mine had his TAG exchanged by some of his mates - it went unnoticed for a week!

I think that it depends on whos looking, some people dont really care if you buy fakes and if it is really not noticiable then wear it.
