can i bypass the remote pulldown motor th shut my trunk.?

The pulldown motor does not work. I cannot find a used one and a new one cost more than the car is worth. I just want to close the trunk (so it doesn't get wet when it rains) and never open it again.

go to the scrap yard and find a car with out the pull down motor option and install it and it will work like a normal car does
