Actually medicines taken in liquid or powder form are usually more fast acting than pills. However, if you are being prescribed pills & you are crushing them up to take them, consult your pharmacist. Some pills are supposed to be broken down in your small intestine, therefore they have a coating that doesn't dissolve in your stomach. If you are chopping these up, then the medicine being metolized in your stomach instead, could make them less effective. Also some pills are time released, it's also not a good idea to crush or chop these up. Ultimatley it's something you should discuss with your dr or pharmacist.

Im not a doctor, but I dont think it would change the results at all. As for your main question, medicine works in your body by changing the way your cells operate, to get the desired result.

medicines work when they get into the tummy and then absorbed by either the stomach itself or the small intestine,(depending what kinda medicine it is) once absorbed it gets into the circulory system and into the cells, so no i dotn think it matters much which way u take it cuz its still in the body workin as it should
