It is truly up to the coach. that being said NCAA requires no more than twenty hours a week for practice.

I will start with a home game on Friday.

Friday is the walk through practice. They just do a light workout on the game field and run their most common plays without contact. They usually have dinner as a team and stay at a near by hotel to get away from any distractions.

Saturday, they have team breakfast meetings and game.

Sunday, film if anything

Monday, film in the morning/before practice around their class schedule and helmet/shoulder pads practice. They might also start with weight lifting for the week.

Tuesday, more film and meetings, weights and harder practices possibly full pads.

Wednesday, same as Tuesday

Thursday, the only difference is if they play a night game they might practice at night on this day or Wednesday.

Back to Friday. If they travel and play on Saturday they will leave on Friday and do their walk through that day.

He will be very busy during the season, if he is not in class or study hall he will at the field, film, meetings, weight room, and/or training room (if he needs it, hopefully not).

Each school is different but this might give you a general idea. If he is a kicker they do a lot less.

Good luck!

I'm not entirely sure but I know most teams start having team workouts and practice very early in the morning (6:00 am).

it is usually a three hour practice including meetings before and after practice. this also depends on where you go. All levels are real time consuming

They go to the NFL and get paid or try out for the CFL or Arena football. If that does not work, they have to find a job elsewhere.
