Try this:
*Spray the marker stain with hairspray and then scrub. May need to repeat it.

*Try leaving a cottton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol on the shirt, when the ball is dry pick it up, it should have absorbed most or all of the stain.

i have had sharpie on a shirt of mine for 3 months and it hasn't come of with anything i tried. so I'm afraid that sharpie will it come off. well that could be why it is called PERMANENT MARKER

Finger nail polish remover works for this, but, be careful about the shirt fading...

You don't. Bleach will NOT remove it either.
