yes one definitely can find new & trustworthy friends, go by your instinct. & the best way to get a true friend is to be a true one yourself.

A person who has just relocated can make new friends although the trust level is truly an earned thing.
Offer up your new acquaintences the ability to get to know you and vice versa and soon you will have new trust-filled friendships.
