There is no doubt that he shunted Damon Hill and another driver off the track to win the championship and I think he also had the best car,I don't want to say he had no talent a little cheating helped him along the way

I still think he had every right to turn in on Damon Hill in '94. He was ahead by at least a half car length at the apex. Maybe he could have moved over, but then he's at risk of getting passed, not acceptable with the championship on the line. What the bloody hell was Damon doing anyway? I mean look at the replays which they have been showing a lot of recently, Damon was in no man's land trying to pull off a miracle move. What else makes him a cheat, now? Oh yeah, the Villeneuve thing the next year. OK, I'll give that one to you, not exactly a smooth maneuver. And I still don't know what that was in Monaco. OK, he got penalized by the stewards, but so did Alonso for "blocking" Massa, so that says a lot about the stewards opinion right there. He couldn't have been trying to keep his pole position with a stunt like that, he didn't need the win that badly at the time. If that were cheating, it was a decision totally out of character for Schumi, just for the reason I just gave, he played smart all the time, never stupid like he would have had to be to think that's what would work.
OK that's the stuff that everybody talks about, is there anything else? No? So these three things are supposed to be enough to classify him as a cheat. Does everybody understand that he won a third of his races? He averaged 6-7 wins a year. If we're going to call him a cheat, I need some facts and examples, more than these three things in which two of them a championship was on the line.

True, there were times when he did things during a race that could be considered unethical, but that's not enough to brand him a cheat - you might want to look up the definition of cheat or cheating.
Certainly, you couldn't attach `cheat' to his performance at the recent Brazilian Grand Prix.
P.S. I was never a Michael Schumacher fan (I'm a fan of racing, not necessarily any driver), but I did recognize his genius as a driver, even if I didn't always agree with his racing tactics.

Schumacher was an extraordinary talented driver. His record speaks for itself, the best F1 driver so far.

He was not only an excellent racing driver but a brilliant tactician.

Why he should be called a cheat is beyond me. Probably for the one occasion when he collided with Damon Hill and won the title.
Damon hill wasn´t in the same class as schumacher, only because he had a superior car he was doing so well.

He was a flawed genius but least he retired with dignity. Formula 1 is (with all due respect to Indy car, Champ car etc) the pinnacle of motor sport due to being the true International series. To win the championship 7 times, and collect most of the other records as well along the way he had to be good. I had the luck to meet him once in the paddock at British Grand Prix, and he took the time to speak to me & my gf for 20 minutes, signed the shirts, and generally have a laugh and joke with Johnny Herbert (who was filling Schumachers pocket with ice water at the time!) & Mark Blundell so Drydreamer he wasn't the most hated, just keeps himself to himself. My Brainhurts not only Germans lose track of the game, certain Brazilians go a lot further (Mr Senna). So he ran Damon Hill off the track, and tried it with Villeneuve, wasn't first time a driver did it (Senna ramming prost at 190mph, and the previous year 1989 Prost snagging Senna at Suzuka) and won't be the last. Monaco yeah ok, no excuses but to get to 6th from the pit lane at Monaco, shows the skill. Hell, he's gone, but he's still gonna take some beating and I honestly don't see anyone to take over from him at the moment. Oh and just in case you are wondering who DIDN'T retire with dignity? Prost and the infamous "sabbatical" then back '93, Mansell '92 (diva extraordinaire).

Schumi cheating!! in no way!! In all honesty he probable did and grew to become into penalized for it. different great drivers have achieved no longer so harmless issues yet none gets the stick Schumacher does. wager the desire to win of a 7 time champion is so great it sweeps aside different morals that it won't each and every so often.

i have to admit that he was a cheet in sometimes with Damon Hill but at the end of the day what the hell was he doing all the replays show that he was in the wrong. Brachello and him on equal and bachello knows that schi needs one win so why shdnt he win it and later on that season they did it the opposite way around i personally dont think that they is anything wrong with what he did also when he found out about his mother dieing i think that he deserved to go out there and win the race and then to go out on the pondem with finding out that his mum was dead was a brave thing.Sometimes i think that some of the things he did was dresperate espcailly this race year when he crashed to keep the fastest lap but at the end of the day everyone cheets ansd BUT there is one thing that NOBODY can take off him and that was hes a world class driver and probally one of the best and it wont be the same watching it also i wish kimi all the luck at ferria and keep that name ferria flying high!! AND WINNING

In sport, you're only a cheat if you break the rules. He didn't break any rules.

Rules of F1
(1) Michael Schumacher wins
(2) When he doesn't, see rule 1

no he was not a cheat. he may have bent the rules on the odd occassion, but hey who doesnt. just look at that montoya character. he was a total liabilty and showed no regard for any one on the track. mcclaren did well to get rid of him when they did.

Michael Schumacher was the best thing that ever happened to formula 1. he retired when he was on top form, so what happened in the past put it to bed and let it rest.

Everyone makes mistakes. Ok,. so he may have cheated a few times, but he was the best f***ing racing driver ever, and nearly all of that was through not cheating. He was the best. HE so deserved to win the last championship. If it wasn't for the debris getting into his tyre, he so would have won that race! He deserves it.
