I've had my healthy Russian Tortoise for 15 years but lately it seems as though his face, or the upper part of his mouth/jaw, is growing. It's getting longer and is getting in the way when he eats. Almost like an overbite. Anyone know what this is? Should I take him to a vet? Thanks!

you could try taking him to a vet if you could send me a picture of what it looks like I might be able to help you more!

Tortoises have beaks, and they can get overgrown if they don't have stuff to bite/chew on... You can get calcium/mineral blocks or a cuttle bone to help trim it down... If it's causing issues with his eating and the cuttlebone/blocks don't help, a trip to the vet is in order.

Double check the diet- make sure it is getting enough roughage nad not too much soft food.
