First off, you have to have the correct anatomy for a clitoral piercing, they pierce the hood NOT the clitoris, or if your body will not support this type, they can do a different one. Your piercer will inform you. No it doesn't hurt, the skin of the hood (over the clitoris) is so thin almost like paper thin that when they stretch it to pierce it, it is only a very quick pain, like getting a shot. they say to wait 4 weeks before sex, but you know how to be careful with yourself. You do have to wash it several times a day, but not a bid deal. And wait 6 months before changing out your jewelry. I do love mine. It doesn't increase sex drive, however it makes some positions really pleasurable, because the ball on the ring or barbell is supposed to ride on top of the clit. Hope this helps you.

I have a piercing "down there" but it's not where most people expect it to be..I got a lobe pierced, my guy loves it, I can pull the ring up around the expected place and have awhole lot of fun just walking around. It was the longest healing of all of my piercings...over a month because of the constant heat and it stung alot.
So go for a lobe, and then if you hate it you can take it out and no damage to anything important...if you love it, then consider the clit piercing.

I dated a girl who, I think it did help her sex drive, but she was a sex-aholic anyways. She had a pierced hood, right at the top area, she did have pain at first. And irritation, she reminded me of a guy posititioning himself picking at her pants alot. She had no complications while we were dating and it did make things a little different in bed. Just have to make sure your guy isn't pierced too or you might get caught up in the wildness and rip something.

If you pierce it you can have sex until it heals... which could be up to 6 months...
