When I was 18, I met a guy on a class trip. We exchanged addresses and used to write to one another and our letters eventually fizzled out. Well he looked me up all these years later and we've been talking since. He lives about 7 hours away and wants to meet again in person. I travel for my job and was informed last week that I would be traveling to the city he lives in! We're both single and I'm so nervous about the possibility of actually seeing him again. Should I tell him and meet him?? What would you do?

I would call him up, (or wait until the next time he calls) and casually mention that you're coming to _________. And then be like, wait! Don't you live there? or something along those lines. And he'd be like, ya! We should get together, or whatever. Then plan for a dinner out or something, at a fancy restaurant. Totally go and meet him. That's awesome! Good for you! :) Good luck!

If you guys are both single and want to meet each other, then what have you got to lose? Nothing. Go for it. If you guys have been exchanging letters for all this time, you know enough about each other and feel comfortable enough to share your lives with each other. I'd definately go for it. Just meet in a public place...don't meet at his house or a hotel room.

I guess if you are in town you could meet him for coffee. Maybe his intention is innocent and he just want sto catch up on what you've been up to? (You would have a better idea of this this you have been communicating with him).
Are you afraid of him asking you out? Or are you afraid because you want him to ask you out? It really depends on what you want out of this "relationship"
