Transmission Leak - Volkswagen Manual GL 2.0?

Question

My transmission is leaking. It leak at front bearing. It leaks only when the car is running. The mechanic guy told me that I have to replace it with a used transmission. What can I do? Can I seal it or do I have to buy a used transmission. How can I add fluid? What type of fluid do I need to add? Where to add the fluid? Thanks guys.

Sometimes the tranny can be removed and a new front seal replaced. You need to check your owners manual to see where and what kind of fluid to add. Have a fun day.
