I have had a broken neck and many problems but am wanting to work now but have not worked for years cause I had a very sick husband to tend to in the past. I am very artistic and have done illustrations for newspapers in the past. Any ideas of what I can be doing now and where I can start? I want to get right out there as soon as possible. It has to be something where I do not have to stand alot and do not lift anything. Just legitimate ideas please. I do not want any scam ideas to make money on the internet.

I would suggest that you start with an Office Job.
Bone up on your Keyboarding, Go to an Occupational school if you have to. The Office Job doesn't require heavy lifting hor standing on your feet for hours. If you want to work, you must prepare yourself for employment. Remember you must have something to offer an employer before you can be hired. If you are proficient with a Computer and know anything about accounting, that is a plus.
You might also try a Real Esate office, they always need someone to answer phones and do light paperwork.
Good Luck Lady.

You should go with a job agency. Start part time at first too so you can get used to working. An office job would be ideal. If it's hard to get into a job right away start with volunteering to gain the experience you need.

I would send out resumes' to all newspapers in your area along with a cover letter explaining your limitations and express an interest in having a meeting asap. Alot of newspapers will let you work from home too. I would also send copies of some of your previous work too. Good Luck!!

Contact your local employment office. Where I live it is called Workforce Services. It should be listed in the government section of your phone book. They can help you with job placement as well as training. Good luck!
