There has been some speculation about Lincoln. I am not sure about Newton. There is documentation that Lincoln slept in the same bed with one of his captains from his guard detail at a house when they were traveling. Back then it could have been an innocent thing also , apparently it was not uncommon for two men to share the same bed. However he was the President and you would think he could have his privacy if he chose to. No one knows for sure if anything happened, it is all speculation. I bet if you posted this in the history category you would get some good answers. I have just read a few books on Lincoln, I am positive there are people out ther who may even teach history that can be of more help. As I said I have never read or heard anything like that about Newton.

Who can say for sure, but them. I know not so long ago there was a book (or thesis) written stating reasons supporting the theory Lincoln was gay. All in all the author's explanations seemed contrived and flimsy. I am sorry I don't recall the title.

As fas as Newton goes, I do not recall any information regarding his sexuality.

True or not, I can't see that we will ever know for sure and really what does it matter? Both men contributed to what our society has become, does it really matter how their affections were spent?

I don't know about Newton, but the Lincoln accusation has been circulating on the net for years. In short, no he was not gay. You really oughta read his biography to truly understand what a great person he really was.
