Do you guys celebrate the anniversary of your FIRST DATE?
Or the anniversary of the day you were OFFICIALLY a couple?

(Those days are about a few weeks apart.)

I know I'm gonna put more emphasis on the day we were official, most likely.
But my boyfriend and I were friends for a long time and I didn't have feelings for him till the day we went on our first date. And it's weird because it hit me just like that... I DO like him back. So I consider our first date important. He was a really great friend and a really great guy. And the day I finally realized my feelings for him is a day I will never forget.

So I don't know which day I should celebrate with him.
Should I celebrate both?
I plan on giving him some nice gifts that I made and put together.

What do you guys think?
Thanks!!!!!

I remember we talked last summer about when our first date actually was. We both agreed to one day. But later on, I realized it wasn't that day... it was another. I don't know if he still believes me or not (lol). But yeah, about a week after our first date, I had told him our first date was the day it hit me. So I think that day is most important to ME.... since he's liked me since before we even met.

And honestly, I don't think he'll remember our first date either. HAHA. So I know I won't have my feelings hurt.

Our anniversary is a couple months away. So I have time. It was just a question that popped in my head. :P

Though your first date holds great significance for you don't be surprised if your b/f doesn't remember when the actual date was much less how memorable it was for you. Have you ever told him that was the day it "hit" you that you really cared for him? By all means you can celebrate both or either day but don't let yourself get your feelings hurt if he is clueless to the specialty of the day. Also, Congratulations hope you guys have many more great years together!

Yes, buy him something or even better, do something for him. It's more meaningful & shows more sincerity.

My anniversary is also coming up, it's on 28th Nov this month.
I've yet to plan to buy him something too. haha..abit worried now!

Anyway, I met my bf in IRC 4yrs back and met up for the 1st time after 3mths of phone chatting. He was an interesting guy with his own way of thinking and great perceptions and a smart one of course. He taught me alot of things and start a new chapter of life & relationship. I really love him and hope he & I can last forever.

All the best to you too.

I can definitely relate to your situation. My bf & I celebrate the day I ( & I say "I" cuz he knew he liked me before I realized I liked him back), officially chose him, when I realized i liked him back & if I didnt do something about it I would lose him, even as a friend.

So celebrate your first date, its more memorable.

the only anniversary date that any one could subject approximately is their wedding ceremony anniversary. all different anniversaries are pointless and meaningless. all and sundry that celebrates them desires to locate something greater desirable to do.
