Yes. He is always a gentleman on camera and never boring. Always keeps the show on pace, always keeps it spontaneous, never tolerates a contestant stealing the limelight, has a good sense of humor..the quintessential host...note I don't say "game-show host" because Bob is much more than that.
I will forever cherish the memories of watching "The Price Is Right" when I was home sick from school, work, or just in a lousy mood on days off. It was always a quick pick-me-up to watch the contestants'! Even when they lost.
Think about all the game show hosts that have come and gone, many are/were forgettable.
Some unfortunately, left the business early or were taken from us too early (Steve Allen, Bert Convy, Bill Cullen, Alan Ludden, Gene Rayburn), some whose shows just got dull as the guests became C-listers and D-listers (Dick Clark, and the Pyramid shows), some mean and snooty (Alex Trebek), some were just downright slimy (Jack Barry (Joker's Wild), Chuck Barris (Gong Show), Bob Eubanks (Newlywed Game), Peter Tomarkin (Press Your Luck), and Richard Dawson (kissing everyone on the Family Feud. Yuk), and some had a good run but are now retired from television (Monty Hall (Let's Make A Deal), Tom Kennedy (Split Second), Jim Lange (Dating Game), Art Linkletter, Peter Marshall (Hollywood Squares)).
Bob is still at the top of his game ! Literally !
(About the only guys to come close, in my opinion, are Regis, Chuck Woolery, or Pat Sajak. Pat just seems bored though).

I will truly miss Bob Barker. You know when he says "good bye everybody" at the end of his show, I too will be crying because he was simply the best in game show history. I wish he didn't have to go but I hope the person they do pick do a good job keeping up his legacy. I read cia939 comments and I swear, that is same story with me! I watched the Price is Right with my grandmother too and she is 93! What a coincidence! The Price is Right was my Grandmother's favorite show and no one could touch the channel when it was on. I wish I could have email cia939 because her response moved me because I cherish those memories of my grandmother and The Price is Right.

Hell yes! it's not going to be the same without him and I doubt the show will continue to have the success it's had without Bob Barker

Yes I will. I grew up watching The Price is Right and Golden Girls with my great grandmother. I am now 23 and she is going on 93. She means the world to me and every time I watch the show I think of her. Very good host and made the show worth watching.

Oh I was thinking I would open this up and find out he died. I always thought he'd be on the game show till he died. It's not going to be the same show without that orange womanizer.

No....its time for him to retire. He is REALLY looking old and he needs to rest.
He is an icon and will always be remembered though.
