It probably means that you are anemic. Low-iron hemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen in the blood. It is in the red blood cells. low and high hemoglobin counts indicate defects in the balance of red blood cells in the blood, and may indicate disease. Have the nurse expain your results better. That way you are not sitting there worrying.

What make the most sense to me is the RH factor . You can read up on the particulars at http://www.webmd.com/content/article/13/3608_262.htm

I don't think it means your pregnancy is high risk, but it is something to be aware of and have monitored. Basically your blood may eventually produce antibodies that attacks the blood of your baby leading to anemia (reduced iron, weakness) or other problems.

Medical Science has learned a lot about RH factor so I would try not to worry. I know learning about any problems or potential problems with your baby can be extremely scary, but I really don't think this is cause to worry yet. I will keep you in my prayers. :)

Well , Rh factor could be the reason ... but the they would not be interested so much in the hemoglobin of your husband , rathar they muct be looking his ABO group with Rh factor.
Rest assured, nothing serious .... Wish you a happy nine months pregnancy with a good result.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemoglobin
On this website scroll down to where it says "role in disease" and I found it to mean anemia and/or sickle-cell disease. And just to make you feel better usually it means you have low iron and surly that can be fixed. Good luck! I am also right at 6 weeks pregnant and just as nervous as you are. We tried for 4 1/2 years so you can only imagine how scared we are.

You may carry a trait for cystic fibrosis or down syndrome. I think both parents would have to have this trait to pass it to the baby, but i could be wrong. definitely ask your doc
