I have a windows NT 4.0 machine. I need to add memory, how can I find out what kind of memory it has, without openning the box? I know in Windows 2000 and Xp, I can use the "Device Manager" to check, NT 4.0 does not have the Device manger however.

Start, Accessories, System Tools, System Resources, this will allow you to see everything, I use Windows 2000 Professional for my servers and webpages, and strangely enough that is the same for XP Pro and VISTA's Server software.

Try going to http://www.crucial.com
They have a memory selector tool that will tell you what type and speed you need.
