One major problem in the USA that I think will be resolved within the next 25 years would be the discrimination against gay ppl and the giving of special rights to heterosexual couples.
We are beginning to see the first steps in correcting this inequality now. Eventually, the courts will have no choice but to recognise that it is unconstitutional to give heterosexual couples special gains by their states based on their unions while at the same time, denying gay couples those privileges.
It will come down to either heterosexual couples get married in their churches,etc... but receive no special recognition by the government or gay marriages will be given the same recognition.
Either way, the issue will be resolved.

I see it as bleeding hearts, environmentalists, and researchers, these are the people who create major problems throughout the world, they are people who do not take responsibility for them selves, and They all have axes to grind, and I say get a job, get a life, and let this world look after it's self, what it has been doing for millions of years, mother nature certainly dose not need our help. Will we solve this problem in the next twenty five years I don't think so.

the biggest problem the world over is that the world will run out of resources and nobody looks after each other now so when the they do run out well all be in trouble. i know this doesnt really answer your question but i dont think any major problems will be solved in 25 years if ever, too many people with their own interests at heart, would take a major world attitude change, hope this helps

I believe alot of masked racism towards African Americans and Hispanics is a major problem in our nation. And it will be solved within the next twenty-five years because by then White Americans will be the minority in our nation and more blacks and Hispanics will hold high positions in political parties.

I cannot think of one single major problem that will be solved. Solutions require truth, urgency, competence and intelligence - rare commodities that are more and more shunned in the world.
I would posit that not only will no major problems be solved, but several (if not more) new major problems will be created.
So, am I a cynic or a realist?

Religion although well never solve that in 25 years time.Any religion that has a claim to ultimate truth (and thats all of them) is a social evil, teaching its followers that they are superior to the unbelievers. Evangelisitc religion is an evil itself.

The one problem is communication. We have the means but we fail to communicate. We fail to educate we fail to learn. Ignorance and non communication is the reason for the problems we have. Maybe in twenty five years we will solve this but I doubt it.
