how to lose a friend?

ok i got a friend and hes my homeboy and everything and we always got each others back but lately hes been really shady and i been coming across alot of inconsistencies w/ what he says...i dont like liars and backstabbers and if i detect that someone im around isnt trustworthy then i just dont wanna be around him...and i cant just ignore him cause he will come ask me whats up...suggestions?
