"Clever" is an opinion. There's no real right and wrong when it comes to opinions. :)

i no longer wish to identify as clever.
i feel that striving for clever distances us from
authenticity and understanding others.
i would feel ok using it to describe inventions
or novel ways of solving a mechanical or physical problem.
i don't prefer labels for me.
ie i may have a clever solution
but i am not clever per se

Everyone wants to be clever and nobody wants to be called as 'not clever' :-) So I'll say yes too :-)

Anything less than "genius" or even "sir" would simply be considered an insult, lol
