Go to "My Computer" and then to c:, right click and then select properties. U have now all the information that u need.

On your desktop, click on the icon "My Computer". After the window opens, right click on C drive and select "Properties". When the info window opens, it will show the amount of Free Space and Used up Space.
Make sure you empty out your Recycle bin to free up some more space.

click on your start menu...select programs...select accesories...then select system tools...then select defragmenter...this will tell you how much free hard drive space you have left...defragmenting is a good way to speed up your computer as well if it is lagging...cheers
