I have a 1994 mercury sable that will only run when it is cold as soon as it warms up it refuses to move back?

I am almost certain this is a transmission problem. Does your tranny fluid smell bad? does it look dark red or black? You could be low on fluid as well. Low fluid will not allow it to move when hot. It maybe a matter of needing and adjustment as well. Have a fun day.
