if there are any $ stores in your area look for a product called "Awesome" .....it comes in a spray bottle and will remove just about everything you need it to.

I'm afraid in this case, permanent means just that. A Magic Eraser won't help, because the leather has absorbed the ink. Perhaps you can call a local dry cleaner and ask if he has any chemicals that would remove it, but it's doubtful.

I don't know if rubbing alcohol will affect leather, you may want to test, but it will get permanent marker out/off of most things.

Hair spray, lots of hair spray. It got ball point ink out of my white shirt this way. Just spray and wipe with a kitchen towel (not too fuzzy). Make sure you wipe with clean lukewarmwater afterwards.

Try toothpaste. I used it for my walls/wood surfaces, and other materials. I know felts are hard to get off. It worked for me.
