t is estimated the polarities of the poles will change once again in the near future. What happens to the magnetic force field during this polarity reversal, and does this affect or diminish the protection which the magnetic force field provides earth agains cosmic and solar wind?

I just saw a NOVA on this. One thing that was mentioned is that during the reversal, it's possible that for a period there would be 4 poles. There is evidence from rocks and computer models to support his. During this time, radiation would funnel into the lower latitudes where we, as a world, are heavily populated instead of the currently unpopulated poles. There would be an increase in cancer rates but not enough to be considered a "radiation epidemic". People in the lower latitudes would see the aurora borealis as well during this time as well - quite a bonus.

Media and music being relationship love and drama obsessed, people over identify their problems with this sort of music, is someone really moving on when their listening to music about their issues? In the 80's and 90's music was about enjoying life and living the moment, now majority of it is the opposite and music has a big impact on people and cultures.

IF the magnetic field reverses we all will die from the loss of the protection of the Van Allen belt.

there was a good episode of NOVA on PBS this week about the earth's magnetic field and polarity, especially as it pertains to cosmic/solar winds...

Basically the field lines that pointed towards the north pole will point towards the south pole.

if teh poles did reverse then the only affect it would have would be to reverse north and south on your compass
