...to posts (or letters or blogs) that are all one big, long paragraph?

My brain has a hard time breaking through the chaos and mentally separating the person's thoughts coherently. So part way through it, I am left with the impression the writer is mentally disturbed and no matter how hard I try I can't regain my concentration and figure out what he is trying to write.

Are you able to comprehend the written word without logical breaks in structure? Or like me and your eyes glaze over and you cannot force yourself to read it?

no...I tend to write like my influences, the beats, who were about fast living thinking and expressing what you feel in the way that you feel it, to be able to write a paragraph and have it interpreted in exactly the same way that it would be interpreted if I was sitting there saying the exact same words to you, does this makes sense to you (because if it doesn't I think you need to drink more coffee and maybe smoke the occasional cigarette (although I do not condone the smoking of cigarettes and I have just quite today)) because I think that writing this way shows personality as much as it conveys ideas

I can read it without any breaks in comprehension because:

1. I tend to get my mind ready for what am going to read so I begin concentrating on the subject even before I read.

2. I try not to do anything else when am reading so I wont break concentration.

3. I read with a purpose: what is the author saying? how? when? where?....etc.

If the author writes incomprehensibly...I just stop reading.

I have taken professional writing courses and I enjoy writing, hope to get published. We were tausght to have logical breaks. It is natural to lose focus during long paragraphs.

I go months w/o reading any books because I can't get myself to read and understand. I read everyday but I only read new papers and magazines. However, when I finally break through I read everything I get my hands on.

If there is more than 2-3 sentences per paragraph, I won't read it. If there is more than 3 paragraphs, I won't read it.

I know, I have a sad, sad attention span.
