Unwise to do that amount of mileage on a day. However, I have driven 600 miles there and back on one day. Aberdeen to Manchester. Never again.

You have to admire these couriers, though it must be very tiring and dangerous to do the amount of mileage they clock up in a day.

I have delivered a new car to Dyce Airport (Aberdeen) then driven a return car back to Stafford - approximately 425 each way - (850) actual driving time was about sixteen and a half hours. with breaks I was away from home about 21 hrs.
My longest trip was with a small car transporter (7.1/2 ton) with a co-driver we went from Stafford - Newcastle u Tyne - Edinburgh -Aberdeen - Glasgow - Stafford, just over 900, we both drove very close to the maximum 10 hrs allowed using a tachograph

From Preston, Lancs. to Monkey World near Wareham in Dorset, which the AA route website says is 290 miles. Including travelling back as well the same day then that runs to pretty near 600 miles all in one day with a 4.30am start! We did share the driving though!
