I have minor ache in my groin for several months. It doesn't seem to bother me really, just feels different. I did have a urinary infection recently and took antibiotics, and that is better now. I wonder if the two are related? Could this be appendix problem. Right side. hernia? I don't think an xray would show anything, would it?
I am older man.

Definitely not appendix as appendicitis is an infectious inflammatory condition that worsens over hours to days. It could be a hernia. You should begin by having an exam by a health care provider. An ultrasound can rule out a hernia and if nondiagnostic a CT scan can be done.
