Dedicate yourself to something selfless. Discover what you can. Challenge yourself to not give in to sadness--do not succumb to helplessness. The pain will go away when you reap happiness from each fulfillment.
There is only one end for all of us. It's inevitable. Life is it's own reward when you make the most of it.

Pain in life is what we as humans learn they most from. Although we all wish pain will go away, it seems the pain is the hardest when we try to avoid it then going through the pain. Avoiding pain only causes it to come up again and again in our lives. The pain will change if you take the bull by the horns so to speak and when you feel differently then you know you are growing from the experience.
Pain is never meant to endure alone make sure you reach out to others for support.

I'm struggling through this one myself but I have to keep going because people are counting on me. When I feel like life isn't worth living, I think about those who need me. You might not realize it, but there are people out there whose lives you touch. That's what helps me get through these thoughts until I'm more stable and rational. What a relief it is when I start feeling normal again. Are you getting treatment for your depression? If not, go get treatment ASAP. If you feel suicidal, call a suicide hotline or go directly to an emergency room. If you are in treatment, call your doctor immediately (this very second) and tell your doctor how you feel!!!!! Your doctor will have an emergency contact number. Don't feel guilty about using it. The pain of life does not seem worth living through when your serotonin levels are low. When that chemical imbalance is stabilized you will feel like a whole new person. I really hope this helps. Thank you for making me realize tonight that I'm not the only one feeling this way.

Wow, to the person telling you to get over it, they need to go f-ck themselves.. Danielle, you sound extremely intelligent and must be very strong to have gone through all that, especially on your own.. And as much as it seems impossible, you should try to keep going. You say you are socially retarded, but from the sounds of it, you seem pretty intelligent and friendly, so as isolated as your childhood was, that doesnt mean your adulthood will be like that too. Not everyone is a bully..there will be nice and supportive people in life that you will befriend. Your childhood does sound pretty traumatic, so kudos to you for getting through it. It should give you determination to maybe have a family of your own one day, and to provide your children with the best possible childhoods, and maybe their childhoods can fill the emptiness that you got from yours :) You say that you keep dreaming of what life could have been if you had a normal childhood free of trauma and abuse, but hey, youre not dead! Life is only beginning for you, you can still turn it around! And despite your past, you can make something of it, you can prove to the world that you are not 'damaged goods' and that you have come out of it stronger and more resilient than someone sheltered with a normal life would have.. Look at me, for example, i had a pretty good childhood, im 17 now..I am doing terribly. I got no sense of responsibilty, no motivation at school, and my parents consider me a disappointment. So my past does not exactly determine my future, so it shouldnt have to in your case! :) :) all the best with your life, you deserve it.

I believe life is always worth living. The world may not always be smiling at you,but it always a smile hidden for you.Trough pain,we grow and are able to change things in our life that were causing even more pain.I think life is good in it's essence and I think of it like an open field, and we're able to run, walk or sit for a while and just feel the wind on our faces-but,that's only my opinion.Pain is almost as important as happiness and I believe that only some amount of pain can lead to truth happiness.

Life can be very hard at times but if you believe in the true God and stall faithful to him in the end you will be rewarded with a rich reward. I do not mean the end of earth as ppl think i mean the end of this wicked system. Pray to God ask him for help and guidance.

What helps me is knowing that I am not alone in having pain. There are always people who feel pain over the same things that you do.

i know it's hard to take it sometimes.... but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.... it may not seem like that is the best for you but it is... god has figured out everything for you and he knows how well you can handel things... he would never give you something that you couldn't handle.... i know sometimes you just want to give everything up and lay there breathless.... trust me i've been there.... it's not really that great... you just got to take life by the horns and evjoy it as much as you possibly can.... write.... read... sing... listen to music.... eat candy.... make new friends... something to keep your mind off of the stupid things that could get you mad or sad....
