He may have issues that he is trying to deal with. His computer gaming is away of pushing them aside. I really think that you and he need to sit down and pick a day of the week that is considered family day. On that day he has to spend all day with you and your child. This way you can plan things around the family and he doesn't loose touch with his child. I would also try to start finding out why he is on the computer so much on this day. It maybe something as simple as he is just a gamer and enjoys it...or it could be something more complex that a counselor would be able to help with. Good luck!

I am sorry to be the one to break it to you. Chances are that I am wrong, and I hope that I am. When your husband resorts to the computer chances are that he is doing that to look at porn. If he does that then your marriage is over. Once he resorts to that, well he simply is looking for other ways out of his marriage or responsibility. I honestly hope that I am wrong. Here's another perspective, my father does the same thing. He loves us all, but his hobby is music. So sometimes instead of being with us he goes to the computer to make mixes of music. It may just be a temporary thing. So don't approach him or accuse him right away. When you notice signs of cheating or he gets mad at almost anything then that is when you should consider talking to him.

The computer/internet can be very addictive for some people. (Look at many of us.) I would keep track of his computer time for one week, and give him the results. He probably has no idea how much time he is spending on the computer. A realization of how this is affecting his family should help him curb his appetite.

Does he have an online girlfriend?? I talk to him about it and then cut the cord if it doesnt stop... My husband has two jobs.. and one of them is on his computer. and sometimes, I have to make a date with him :) I was kidding about cutting the cord, btw. But I am serious bout talking to him, DONT NAG HIM! And let him know you miss him. And maybe suggest setting up a few hours each day that he doesnt touch his computer. That way, your needs are being met. :) GOOD LUCK!

Do you two argue a lot?

Is he uncomfortable with the awesome responsibilities that being a father has placed on him?

Has your sex life declined sharply since the baby was born?

Maybe that's his passive-agressive way of getting away from you.

Or, he might just be looking at porn (if your sex life has declined since you had the baby)

It's time that you and him had a discussion about this.

I think some guys get spooked by a child. I mean al of a sudden he is no longer the center of your attention and feels left out. That's not a problem I had. i loved coming home from work and holding my son, changing his diaper, feeding him... all that. I would do my surfing when he was tucked away in bed and my wife was watching some shows she wanted to catch up on.

Yes, your Husband can tell you. You are married which means no more guessing or sitting around trying to figure things out. You just need to go, ask, deal.
