I mean, aren't we all Americans? aren't we all human beings? what ever happened to "government of the people, by the people, and for the people? "..lately it has seemed like the country is on the verge of a partyline civil war, getting down right nasty too, democrats and republicans actually verbally expressing pure, venomous hatred and mistrust of each other.. question is, how would such a civil war play out? folks, we need to get our act together, and sooner, rather than later.. the eyes of the world are on us and trust me, they are watching for any signs of internal weakness..and I've never, until recently ever thought of my country, the USA, of being capable of weakness...i still refuse to believe it...

...and yet the American people refuse to shed these too completely inept parties.

My friend, we are leaking weakness by the bucket loads. The Middle East has oil. A resource completely separate from the people and so are allowed despotic rule because they keep the world content. Europe is decidedly defunct without its people and therefore provide free education and healthcare to ensure europeans contentment. The Government as it stands both Republican and Democrat could care less about the American people (beyond having some kind of mob in their camp) and are a joke to the rest of the world.
If you think that the parties look like imbecilic children in our eyes, just imagine how the EU, APEC, or more importantly Iran and North Korea see us.

This is what happens when you cannot trust the actions of your President, after all we give him almost unlimited power and trust a lot in his judgement when we elect him, but in Bush's case he never got the popular vote in the 2000 election so I'm not sure he was ever eleted by the voter, but by the Supreme Court.

No, kids are better then that. It's more like a bunch of teenagers, oh so vulnerable to gossip, insecurities, fear, and power.

Some of each surely do.

But it looks more like this to me:
eyes squeezed tightly shut, head turned to the side and tilted back, hands out in front slapping wildly in the general direction of where they last saw their "opponent", making a really annoying squalling noise.
Can anyone else picture that?

It even goes beyond that... would you in-trust the safety of your children to anyone in the house, senate, executive branch or judicial branch of government...? I think not...
