...Or flowchart, hierarchy chart, IPO chart, etc. I'm sure any of the basic tools of modular procedural program design will work well for you. They all do one thing: help you organize and record the steps the algortihm needs to function under any circumstances. It might help you to read about Jacopini's constructs and algorithms also if you haven't learned that yet. Good luck and search at will.

Just go ahead and develop it. Personally, I don't usually do flowchart unless it is really complicated.
