Egyptian. There are documented (written) finds from Egyptian civilization dating back over 9,000 years. Indus valley civilization may possibly go back that far, but there is no documented evidence of it. All evidence indicates that Indus Valley civilization is bronze age -- starting sometime after 2000 BC. By that time, the Egyptians were already on their 5th dynasty :)

Indus Valley Civilization is the oldest Civilization whose remains could be unearthed. The Religion followed in Indus valley was Vedic Culture. and there are many Documents of Vedic Culture.
But the Vedic Documents also tell us about civilizations existing many millions of years ago.

There was supposed to be another lost land mass in the past,
other than Atlantis. It was called Lemuria.
The Lemurians are said to have migrated to the Indus Valley
and Easter Island. There are in fact 2 lost languages. One from
the Indus Valley, and the other from Easter Island, and they
are almost exactly alike.
The Stone HEADS on Easter Island are a memorial to the lost
contintent of MU!

I second Parsu. The religion of the Indus Valley is Hinduism and the Vedic texts are the worlds oldest sacred texts.
