Be yourself, otherewise if they hire you and it is different from their interview, they won't be happy. Be sure to look at the person straight in the eye, they will know you have nothing to hide. When you shake their hand, be sure to give a firm, but not too hard shake. Don't pump, just one downward motion is good. Dress for success, even if it is for a job that you will not even be seen at by the public. Or if it is a manufacturing job, you still dress up. This is the interviewing process, dress like you want the job. It may be that if you do get this job, there could be room for advancement and if you go in appropriate dress, they will see that you have the potential for more than what you are applying for. Good luck.

Arrive like 20 minutes early and keep yourself very busy with something important like a classic book. (Great Expectations) Don't do crosswords or Suduko puzzles. The early arrival will make them take notice and the classic time occupier will make them think you are capable of higher level thinking, planning ahead, and organization. Don't forget to your business dress even if you are only going to work at McD's or the gas station. Appearance counts. Don't say "um" or "ah" during the interview. This is alot harder then it seems b/c lots of people don't realize how much they say it. Practice in front of a mirror. Talk about the most important thing that happened to you in your life. Make sure you notice if you figet. For example, if you play with your watch while you talk. Don't wear a watch to the interview. Good Luck.

Don't act like you want the job. Be coy, be curious but don't say "oh yea I want to work here." Don't give away the farm either. If it's like most interviews, this might be number 1 of 3. Be yourself, have a great cover letter if you need to turn in a resume. The cover letter tells a potential employee quite a lot about what type of person you really are.

Do a little research on this company and show the interviewer that you can be an asset to them. They might be impressed if u've done your homework. Dress appropriately and be respectful and well mannered. Be honest and yet sell yourself to them with confidence and poise. First impressions are lasting ones.

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT WEAR JEANS no jeans anywhere, not even a jeans jacket!
And if you have piercings, take them out. Ditto if you have a tattoo, cover it up. I'm the hiring manager and I dont want to see your "individualism" on an interview.
And don't be nervous: don't chew gum (but have clean breath), wear conservative nail polish, and don't bounce your leg around.
Good luck kid, this could be the start of something great for ya!
