Both Kerry and Bush are members of the rich-boy satanic cult the Skull and Bones. Since they all swear to support other members, could Kerry be following instructions from their Grand Poobah (or whatever their satanic priest is called)? Or was Kerry trying to say that if you vote out of a position of ignorance you get results like the bush-league? The Republicans did promise a big surprise before the election, was this it?

I wondered that exact thing. Why would he say something so stupid so close to the elections? This may in fact be the surprise.

Hmm... So if they are on the same team, what difference would have it made if one was elected over the other? Look at the political situation today. What's different? Nothing.

D'nesh D'sousa, an advisor to Regan admitted in a public forum on my campus that the Republican elites see their party represented by two camps: thinking patriots and stupid patriots - with most of their voters falling in the second camp! I was shocked that he would make such an admission in public, but there is was! With that sort of attitude, what difference if they are in Skull and Hobnob? The now transparent fact is that we live in an oligarchy, not a democracy. In the world D'Sousa described, republic consists of ignoramouses that vote on popularity contests to determine which oligarch will make decisions FOR "the people" - whoever the heck that is supposed to be anymore.

Yes, it seems our elections are rigged, but perhaps not in the polls themselves, but in manipulations of social psychology. They know stupid people vote on leadership based solely on looks, so there was probably a bit of shock involved when the most "GQ" guy was NOT selected by an overwhelming majority. Face it, even though Kerry and Gore were taller, they were not as "Ken" as Bush, so there was probably some surprise that - WHAT? - there are voters that THINK out there? Who knew?

At the very least, however, were everything honest, would you really want a leader that GIVES UP on a close competition for leadership? What kind of leadership is THAT?

Anyhow, voting is usually a humiliating and disappointing procedure for me. There are few politicians that I have ever liked very much and I can't think of a one that's still around or not gauranteed a local victory this next election.

Sorry if that all seems cynical. Maybe I'm too much of an independent thinker to really scream one party dogma or another without considering the implications. One answerer on here gave me a really good line that seems to describe that as well: some people are like human bulldozers and just plow through life without any self-reflection. There's your dumb voter. On the other hand though, sometimes I wonder if being dumb like that isn't a blessing since you'd never think enough to doubt yourself...
