The BT Voyager 2110 router is for ADSL broadband not cable broadband. NTL is cable broadband. Therefore the BT Votager 2110 router will not work with NTL. You need a cable router not an ADSL router

your trying, to connect a cable connection to adsl connection?
that will not work, well it could be will be very tricky since u need to go the router change the connection to dynamic ip addressing not pppoe which its proberly set at.
i would advise getting a new router a proper cable router such as as a Netgear WGR614, or a Linksys WRT54GS
and this will work fine with your 1055.

DO you've A ROUTER? because in case you do not notwithstanding in case your pc is instantaneous you is in basic terms unable to get signal. Routers at the instantaneous are not that expensive ($30) and are undemanding to position in. also, you're able to have many laptops suitable to jointly. i'm hoping this helps!
