Would your current job pay for some of your college? Some do.

My wife had very little college and got a very good job through a temp agency. Finding one near you should not be hard. They are everywhere. Only accept jobs from them that offer permanent positions. Quit a few companies use this method.

By the way, my wife went back to college, now has a 2 year degree and makes more money than I do! I am so proud.

It's tough to get out of. On a minimum wage job, you can't afford college. Without college or a special skill, it's hard to get anything better than a minimum wage job. Many people are working 2 or even 3 jobs. I've even heard stories of people who work full time and live on the streets. However, some jobs offer tuition reimbursement.

Walk out the door. Don't turn back. :)

Actually, the first thing to do is determine if it is the job you don't like or the environment. Don't be afraid to actively look for other jobs while you are working. That's the best situation to be in: having an offer and still having your job.

Whatever you do, don't just slack off hoping they fire you. That doesn't help anyone.

First things first don't quit until you have another job. If you hate your job so much and have to leave now then use a temp agency until you can find what you are looking for. I use Kimco and I love it. When looking for a job, make sure that you can get promoted. During the interview let them see how ambitious you are to work hard and move up. Good luck!

Talk to your friends who are happy in their jobs, look online for opportunities, be proactive about changing your life, you are the only one who can do anything about this.
