It depends on how fancy the wedding is. If it is formal then I would say no and you should wear panty hose instead. But if it is less formal I would say go for it. There are a lot of ways to update your look with knee high boots.

Its absolutly fine. Boots are always appropriate and stylish during the fall and winter, but this season ecspecially. As long as they are a subdued (neutral) colour, and your skirt MUST cover the top of the boots. No short skirts or youll look hoochie.

never wear boots or platform flipflops to a wedding! NO MATTER WHAT! some little strapy shoes or something. tights will help on the coldness 2. but not 2 thick of 1s!

i imagine i'd pick some type of heels. searching on the length of the gown, boots might want to not in basic terms stand out yet also have the prospect of creating your legs seem shorter. Plus a effective gown with heels is the favourite wedding ceremony client garb. desire that helped.

if it is really cold, the boots and dress are a good match, yes. but i would make sure the hem covers the top of the boots.
and i would wear good hose. for cold, but elegant too. look at Wolford
