Remove the line - C:\="Microsoft Windows 98" from boot.ini file which is located in ur c drive. sometimes you may not see this file immediately for this just open ur c drive in my computer select tools from the menu then folder options then view tab in this tab select show hidden files and folders, unselect hide extensions for known file types and unselect hide protected operating system files (recommended). after removing the line, undo the changes which u made in folder options. hope this solves ur problem.

right click my computer icon and click properties

then click the advanced tab

there u should see Start up and Recovery
click settting and then uncheck ( time to display list of operation systems: )

above that slide the menu
and select which operation system u want to load when the PC starts

if u choose the wrong one dint worry
u should restart the system and by running windows in safe mode u would be able to reselect the above option
that's by clicking F8 it would show the u the Windows safe mode option
i hope u are able to do so if not i am on line u can contact me if u like to

Edit the file C:\boot.ini
Make sure you create a backup before editing it. And edit it only after you're sure you know what you're doing.
