I was thinking about getting an Ipod because we are getting ready to go on a long trip for the holidays and I want to listen to my own music but heres the thing I have no clue about them and I'm looking for something were I can download music onto it.and something thats portable because I walk too.so is this what I need to be getting.can anyone tell me about them or know of something else thats similar?

It's hard to go wrong with an iPod or an iPod Nano. Everybody has them and everyone knows how to use them. I have a Creative Zen Touch that I'm not crazy about. It's good for music but the software to load music onto the Zen Touch is flaky.
