She irritates me to no end. I guess the reason why is that she seems sooooooooooooooooooo full of herself. She puts her name in front of The Color Purple (the nice thing to do would have been leave it the Color Purple or call it Alice Walker's The Color Purple, not Oprah Winfrey's The Color Purple...) and has infiltrated every media. I don't care what she reads, what food she eats, why I should buy a mountain with my 401K. If she were a good interviewer I would maybe buy it, but she isn't...she interrupts people and somehow always brings it back to her. Oh, and the Legends Ball? All of her favorite people? All they did was talk about her! How narcisstic! Ughhhhhhhh

nicely, for starters, it skill you've been observing Oprah, and examining "The prolonged relations of the Cave undergo" WAAAAYY too a lot. For seconds, it means that the best of the international is coming, and George W. Bush quite is the antichrist... which confuses me, because in accordance on your dream, this would make Oprah the Christ, and particularly frankly, I continually anticipated her to be the faux prophet a minimum of. or perhaps you're the faux prophet. notwithstanding it really is, get some more effective sleep, and this time, do not drink a lot till now you lie down... or drink a lot more effective so that you black out, after all, if I ever had a dream about Oprah operating round with bones and torches and a band of armed followers, i'd awaken in a chilly sweat, and not in any respect be able to visit mattress sober back!

I used to watch her faithfully each afternoon, but no more. She has taken her fame too far. The most disappointing and boring was when she gathered all of these famous 'black' women to her house (Mariah Carey, Maya Anjelo and various singers/writers etc) and they filmed the whole event. I could only take 15 min. of this program.

Also, as mentioned, she talks over her guests, never even lets them finish the sentence. I notice that she appears bored with the show and seems bored interviewing her guests. I think the guests must almost beg to appear just to sell their books/products. Oprah started out so down-to-earth, but now has become somewhat conceited. I wished she would stop saying "my best friend Gayle".

But she's rich, so nothing 'aint gonna change.

Is there still room for me on that list?

Oprah makes me ill. She can't get 1/2 way through interviewing someone before she butts in and starts talking about herself. She's much too much into herself for me. And then, dont even get me started on those "Favorite Things" shows. Okay, admittedly, she is helping those less fortunate than most of us and that's all well and done, but stop shoving it down our throats! Fame def has gotten to her already swelled head

When she interviews a celebrity she will ask them a question and as they start to answer she will interupt them and answer the question herself. She is very full of herself. She has done a lot of good with her show but I feel she wields her power too much. She knows she can make or break something or someone and I don't think she always uses her power to what is best for her followers. She does it to fit whatever she wants.

I don't like how one minute she's providing homes for a few Katrina victims, then the next she has one of he "favorite things" shows where we have to watch her try to convince us that we should "all" have a set of those $5000 sheets. I think she started out with good intentions, but her fame, status, and still trying to relate to the common person has her contradicting herself alot. She's kinda full of it now.

I cant stand her because everyone makes such a big deal about her. Who cares she's rich. If she werent rich and "black" no one would even care or notice.

Martha Stewart is rich and successful but she doesnt get praise and didnt even before her little crime.

so why is it that being a successful black woman is such a big deal and what does that say abt black women in general....that its surprising if they ever make something out of their lives?

if you really want to admire someone, screw oprah...admire condalisa rice > dont think I spelled it right but that woman has phd's, exercises everyday, gets up at 4 am, is a pianist, managered her family and her amazing career....she is the most powerful women in the U.S. - admire her for that not for the color of her skin

I would not say I cant stand her but her better than you attitude is a little off the wall. She has lots of money but is not better than me or you. She has lots of advice for moms and such but has no children. Sometimes I think we listen too much to people who only have money when we need to listen to the voice of experience.

Yes, I just can't stand her. She gets on my nerves with all her screaming and acting crazy.
