I had a teacher back in high school whom was asthmatic. She pretended to be having an asthma attack, pulled out her inhaler, and got off scott free. The officer even sat in the car with her so she could calm down and relax.

Some years ago I had a friend who was a state trooper and had mentioned his name once when I was stopped and gotten out of a ticket. The next time I was stopped I figured it would work again. However, when I dropped his name that time it turned out the guy who pulled me over absolutely hated my friend and wrote me the ticket immediately.

I just used the standard "No way! I am so sorry , It won't happen again. I guess I had other things on my mind and didn't notice I was going too fast. The police officer just told me to watch my speed and let me go. Sorry it wasn't funny or to imaginative! It was just the truth and it worked too!

It was 2 in the morning and only a few minutes away from my house. A cop pulled me over and asked where the fire was? I told him that I'm a few minutes away from home and I really have to pee and if I didn't get home I was going to pee right there on the side of the road. He let me go but he followed me home.

my husband told the officer his grandfather had died and he was distracted. It was true, except that grandfather had died about 2 months earlier, and my husband STAYS distracted in the car. (We were 10 feet from an accident and he asked me, why did we stop... and wondered how that girl in the suv got her bumper all messed up - she'd just hit the van in front of me and he didn't see it!
