Bush meant what he has always meant when he used the clause,"stay the course". He meant to stay "until the job is done" (the Iraqi government is able to stand alone without our support). He did NOT mean that all tactics that were necessary to achieve the strategical goal would remain the same or that new ones would not be utilized. I THING THE BIGGER QUESTION IS WHAT DID KERRY MEAN WHEN HE CAST THE ASPERSION THAT PEOPLE IN OUR MILITARY ARE DUMB. You may smell some of that democratic BS that has been thrown around so much.

He means to stay at the same course, but to finish it in a different way. I think that 's what he means. Hmm.. Now I'm confused.

He means he wants to stay in Iraq, staying the course, but he's open to changing military plans within Iraq. To not stay the course would be to abruptly pull out
