It sounds as if your NUMBERS LOCK is off. Check to make sure the LED indicator (marked NUM LOCK) is lit. If not, hit the NUM LOCK key (just above the number 7 on the keypad on the right), the LED should now be lit and your key-pad numbers should now work!
