Saw the speech. He said and I quote "If you make the most of your education in this country you do well, if not you end up in Iraq".

This wasn't a joke gone bad, He INTENTIONALLY insulted all of our military. It's just another example of the Hypocritical Holier than thou Mulitmillionaire Liberal Mentality.

So please tell me how is words were taken out of context when I SAW and HEARD his speech ?

Nope not biased here, heard his EXACT words. There is only one way to interpret what was said. If you believe his spin that it was a joke then it's you that are biased and uneducated.

I find his statement interesting especially since like GWB he was only a C student in college. Not exaclty the mental giant he seems to think he his.

Liberals are not bothered by his comments or lack of apology, since they think the military is a waste of tax-payer money, anyway.

They would rather spend the money helping us become a welfare state.

Even if you choose to believe that, what insult? Thousands of kids have been targeted by military recruiters while still in high school. All public high schools are required by law to provide student records to recruiters. They target kids who are struggling! They go to poor areas of the country and convince poor kids that the military is their only choice to get an education and a job! And thousands of those kids ARE stuck in Iraq, because the government has issued stop-loss orders that prevent them from coming home! Look at the records of the American troops who have died over there--their average age is about 19!

If you want to believe Kerry's remark was about the troops, fine. Then he said the same thing good parents all over the county are saying. "Stay in school, do well, get a good job, fulfill your potential. Don't go in the military, you'll get sent to Iraq." And it's absolutely true.

He's a decorated veteran, of a useless, wasteful war that killed thousands of kids right out of high school. He knows what he's talking about, and has been a tireless advocate for other veterans his whole professional life.

If you saw and heard his speech, then you can deliberately choose to misunderstand, but that's all. It's YOUR choice to make it an insult.

First, I have NEVER believed anything Kerry had to say. Second, what he said is known as a Freudian slip. He has said many derogatory things about our military in the past. Why is this a surprise to the liberals? Another thing that is not surprising to me----he had a chance to apologize and remove some of the possible negative repercussions, but he did not. Does that show you his real intelligence or his lack of it?

Stop sensationalizing and stick to the point. Kerry opposes the war, not the troops. He served our country, unlike Bush, so how could he honestly purposely insult his own brothers and sisters.

He made a series of jokes about Bush. He just botched that one. He said "you get stuck in Iraq", he should have said " you get us stuck in Iraq". You could even see that he forgot the punchline and was looking down at his notes. Get over it.

It was a bad joke. Even if he said it correctly, it still would have been in poor taste. However, I understand what he was saying.

No. He did not intentionally insult the troops. You want that to be the truth but if you listen to what he said it was clear what he was saying is was if you do well in school you have more options.

You're hearing what you want to hear.

I saw and heard his speech as well. It wasn't taken out of context although he would like people to believe it was. How can you take that one statement out of context? If people believe that then they are idiots as well.

You are biased, but the slander is you believe he intended to insult them. That proves how biased you are.

He was talking about Bush. But people who are simple minded didn't get the joke. BUSH didn't make the most of his education so BUSH is stuck in Iraq.
