Too much freedom. Hope she doesn't end up looking like a fool.

In West Africa, the locals used to sort out their differences by killing each other. Then along came the Islamic missionaries who set up a system of Islamic courts. If someone from the next village upset you, you didn't need to kill the whole village, you could sue him for all his cattle.
Then the British and French came, kidnapped as many locals as possible and shipped them off to colonies in America. The slave owners taught their slaves to speak English. In return the slaves taught their masters how to sue each other.
The American legal system is based upon Islamic courts. Why doesn't Bush just sue Bin Laden and save us all a lot of trouble.

remember this is the headline grabber, just because that's what shes sueing for doesn't mean she'll get it or even win.

But yes, Americans are sue crazy and greedy.

My sisters name is Sue, my brother in-law is also Sue crazy but i think thats a different thing.

I think Creskin ( above ) is wrong. Its not the people who are responsible, its the coffin chasin' lawyers, they are the ones with no morals.

You have actually asked 2 questions.

She can sue for a refund of the face value of the ticket, since the concert was cancelled. She cannot sue for ticket broker fees, her lost time, etc.

While not all americans are sue crazy, there are quite alot of people who are typically low income, and have low morals, tend to blame everyone else other than themselves for their misfortune, and therefore think that they should sue or threaten to sue, as an acceptable way of making money.

Americans are a very litigious society. I ready the article, and her husband is a lawyer, so, he's representing them.

It's a class action suit, people claiming they lost money on hotel rooms.

Wah, wah, wah, get over it. This sort of thing happens all the time. Answering your question, she is both crazy, and greedy in my opinion.

26 million for a little grief and $500? Yes, that sounds about right. No greed there.

I actually think it is a publicity stunt! Otherwise, it makes no sense whatsoever, especially with the total cost to her in comparison. How facetious!

I just hope she is footing the bill and not Legal Aid (if they have such a thing in the states!

Perhaps I can sue Daniel O'Donnell for the pain and suffering he's caused me.
