With the very limited functional freedom and working under the selfish politicians I feel Indian election commission is honest in their job.

ARE YOU JOKING??!! Honest?Money power??? If it were really honest, we would have been a developed country by now. And look who is joining politics nowadays. Only gangsters and filmstare, who need protection and who need publicity. Our political system is rotten, due to the election malpractices. Any person can capture a seat by booth rigging, money distributing, etcetra etcetra. Honest? Pah!

the election commissioner is a government employee and cannot over rule the dicta from ruling party. When he is told to keep his hands off some party in coalition he has to do it otherwise he will loose his job. In fact he is another puppet in the puppet show called elction

this job is very hard to do from the political rowdys, example .. chennai recent election. what they can do? they are single team.they are JJUJJUPPI to the political parties. sure no one could not do the election commission job in honest.

they(people in IEC) might do their best to be honest but there are certain political pressures which mallow them down.moreover ,money and power are something inseparable from politics.
