i'm 12. i think i might be going through my period but i'm not sure. what are some signs of starting? i would ask my mom but she left my dad when i was six and i have not conntacted her lately to ask. please help me.

Why do you think you're starting your period? Only way I knew I got my period when I was 11 was because of the menstruation bleeding; that's it. After the first month I had pain, discomfort, bloating, nausea, vomitting, the works. But I had no indication prior to that first period, so I'm curious why you think you're starting your period if you have not experienced bleeding.

have you seen blood yet?
well you would feel a pain in your tummy and you would see blood. you should really tell your dad to get you some pads to start out with. trust me sweetie you will know when you get your period. congrats on being a woman!

usually your first time there is no signs you just wake up one day bleeding.

it depends....sometimes your breasts will feel tender or you might get some tummy pains....and notice blood on your panties
