John Obi Mikel did not play a single match with Man U and was not even been presented in United jersey. He only had a pre-contract with Man U as he was a FC Lyn player. When Chelsea wanted to buy him they paid Man U about £11m as they had a pre-contract and only £4m to Fc lyn.

He signed a contract with United, but NEVER played for them. When he heard Chelsea were interested, he claimed United forced him into signing (may have had something to do with more money perhaps???). United were going to take it to UEFA as the player had signed the contract, but then they reached an agreemwnt with Chelsea to release him from the contract. Chelsea paid 12million to United and 4million to his club FC Lyn.

Not bad business for United. 12millon for a player that never even played for them!

Hope this answers your question

guy u had paid the signing fee for obi and loaned him out to lyn oslo to mature not realising that a skills can't be hidden then got here chelsea who kept close eye on the type of the lad quickly after his ideas-blowing perfomance on the ultimate less than 20 international cup on the netherlands the position he became voted because the 2d mvp in the back of messi he quickly stuck the interest of chelsea who manipulated him into signing yet another settlement so then guy u took the case to courtroom and fifa gave the decision that guy u would accept the signing fee for the participant and lyn oslo also yet i nonetheless stand to be corrected he made the stunning mistake of his occupation going to chelsea and he's already reaping the dividend.

no, but he should be. what a gimp. i can see how he would fit in to the man united side, but i can't see him playing too much for chelsea.

i don't mind players moving for money, or for glory (everyone wants money and glory) but man united are still a successful side with a bright future, and besides that, he would actually be playing a lot of games

Fortunately no. He doesn't deserve a club that will only win 'Mickey Mouse' Cups. (Carling Cup)

At Chelsea, he has a chance to win everything in England and possibly, the Champions League.
